What Happens at Meetings
Our meetings follow an established format with an agenda. We begin on time and keep up a brisk pace. We
pack a lot into our meetings as we only meet once a month; nevertheless there's always time for fun and
socializing thanks to our hospitality committee. We include a variety of guest speakers who always seem to
inspire us with new ideas for fundraising and service in the community.

We've had speakers from Meals on Wheels; Carole Carson, the author of From Fit to Fat gave us some
inspiration on health issues; our local shelter keeps us up to date with their needs; Gay Gerlach taught us
how to sew purses and shared her fundraising tips; and, Tricia and Anthony Isayi brought their international
project, Operation Orphans International, located in western Kenya, to our attention last year. Just to name
a few.

We end with a tradition called "Happy Dollars" where each member puts a dollar into a special collection and
shares with the group something in her life that's created happiness.

Most of our service work is accomplished through
committees formed at the beginning of each club
year. Our meetings give the committees opportunity to
report their progress, ask for suggestions and keep
everyone up to date. Committees stay active through
separate meetings and the wonders of email.
